Avid Studio, the high-end consumer version of Avid’s influential video editing software, has made the leap to the iPad today. Avid Studio for iPad includes many of the features of its desktop counterpart, along with interface tweaks like pinching to zoom on a frame.

Apple unveiled iBooks 2, which Apple called “a new textbook experience for iPad,” and iBooks Author, which helps users to create textbooks. Both products will be available for free in Apple’s App store.

FiLMiC Pro is a $2.99 app that boosts your iPhone video as close to pro quality as it can get. The app allows selectable resolutions (1280×720, 640×480, 480×360) and a variety of frame rates like 30fps, 24fps all the way down to 1fps.
